The game collects nothing
Effective 5 October 2026 / last updated 5 October 2026
SNOEK'EM is made by TFINN, an independent studio in South Africa, which is responsible for this policy. It covers the game on every platform, and this website. Questions, requests and complaints go to support@tfinn.co.za.
In short
The game has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting, and it never connects to the internet. It saves your progress on your own device. This website sets no cookies and tracks nothing. The only information we ever hold is what you choose to send us.
The game
To remember where you were, the game keeps a save file in its own data folder on your device: your settings and button configuration, your Last Patrol progress and unlocks, and the Harbour Board's high scores with the initials you enter. It never leaves your device. On iPhone and Android, uninstalling the game removes it, and Options' RESET PROGRESS clears the story. On a computer it's in your user data folder:
- macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/SNOEK'EM
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\SNOEK'EM
- Linux: ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/SNOEK'EM
Link Battle is the one thing that uses a network, and only your local one. When you open it, the game announces itself on your Wi-Fi or hotspot so another copy of SNOEK'EM nearby can find it, then the two devices connect directly to each other and exchange only the fight: inputs and game state. Nothing goes through the internet or to us, and nothing is kept afterwards. That's why an iPhone asks for Local Network access, and why Android lists network permissions.
If you test a pre-release build
Testing through Apple's TestFlight or Google Play's testing tracks, those platforms collect crash logs, device information and any feedback you send, and share it with us so we can fix bugs, under Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies. The game itself adds nothing to it. We read it to fix bugs and delete what we receive within 30 days.
If you write to us
An email reaches us with whatever you put in it, usually your address and sometimes a screenshot. We use it only to answer you and fix the problem, and delete it within 30 days, except where our email provider keeps backups for longer under its own policy.
This website
The site is static. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. Its fonts, images, the trailer, the Link Battle guide and every VisTok video are served from this domain.
The music and sound switches in the header and the move list's choice of arrows, keyboard or gamepad are remembered by your browser for this tab only (session storage), and forgotten when you close it. They never leave your device.
VisTok, the fish world's video app on the VisTok page, is pretend: liking a video, following an account or writing a comment there changes only the page in front of you. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent, and it's all gone when you leave or reload.
The game's downloads are hosted on MEGA. When you follow a download link, you're on MEGA's site and under MEGA’s privacy policy; this site sends them nothing.
The longer videos (the tutorials and the Debug Play series) are on YouTube. Until you press play, nothing loads from YouTube: you see our own thumbnail. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and from then on YouTube receives your request, including your IP address, under Google’s privacy policy.
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data, including IP addresses, to serve the pages and protect the site from abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We don't use it to identify anyone.

Your rights
There's no account to delete, because none exists. For the little we may hold (an email address and a message), you can ask to see it, correct it or delete it, or object to our holding it: write to support@tfinn.co.za and we'll respond within 30 days. In South Africa you may complain to the Information Regulator; in the EU or UK, to your data protection authority. We don't sell personal information, and never have.
Children
SNOEK'EM is a cartoon fighting game. It collects nothing from anyone, children included, and we don't knowingly hold personal information about a child. If you think we do, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date. If the game ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before it does.
